Limerick City and County Council has announced that on-street parking in the city centre will be FREE on Saturdays throughout the months of July and August. Every Saturday for the summer months, there will be free parking in the core city centre area to make it even more attractive for people to come into the city for shopping. Traffic wardens will continue to work and as always will be focused on those who are parked illegally and helping to keep traffic flowing. Parking will also be FREE on Saturdays in Abbeyfeale and Kilmallock. Newcastle West has always had FREE parking on Saturdays. The announcement comes as a suite of initiatives outlined in Guiding Limerick Through Covid-19 to boost visitors to the city centre is phased in
